Christian
Christian, diagnosed with Short Bowel Syndrome, a condition where part of the small intestine is missing or damaged, preventing normal nutrient absorption. Christian has been flying with CFOH since 2017, having taken over 30 flights to receive life-saving care. He travels from his home in Oklahoma to Boston Children's Hospital. Initially, his home hospital gave a grim diagnosis, stating there was no hope to save his large intestines. However, upon arriving at Boston Children's Hospital, doctors managed to save all of Christian's remaining intestines!
Due to his complex medical condition from birth, Christian's mom had to quit her job to become his full-time caregiver, which caused a significant financial burden on their family. This is when they found CFOH, which helped them with the continuous flights Christian needs to access specialty care in Boston.
