Alana
At just one year old, Alana was diagnosed with a rare, life-threatening eye cancer, Retinoblastoma. With no specialist close to her home in Charlotte, NC, Alana's family began the search for hope for treatment across the country.
Alana's mother, Lauren, shared, "Through the generosity and efforts of CFOH, we have been able to travel from NC to Wills Eye Hospital in PA and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for her to receive chemotherapy treatment to save her life. Only three hospitals specialize in treating this cancer in the US, and we have been sobered by the news of fatalities from this cancer among Rb families. In 2019, she was officially declared in remission and has remained cancer-free! Moreover, her vision scores show that she has maintained her sight!"
Children's Flight of Hope is committed to supporting Alana throughout her medical journey!
